Welcoming Committee

The committee head will form a Yahoo group or method of communicating to the members of the Welcoming Committee. When an applicant is approved for membership, the committee head will route the application to the members of the Welcoming committee in order to introduce the new member. Committee members are responsible for sending an email welcoming the new member and encouraging them to visit the message board. If a new member has a website, members are also encouraged to leave a welcome message or greeting in the new members guestbook. The committee head and members are also responsible for welcoming the new member on the message board.

Awards Committee

It is a privilege to be on the Victorian Ladies Society Awards Committee. Here we scout the web for worthy award winners of VLS's honorary awards and vote for new winners. Each member is expected to submit at least two sites a month for us to vote on. If you are a part of the Awards Committee and feel that you will not be active for more than two weeks please let the head of that committee know. The head will need to be aware of your temporary LOA.

Birthday Committee

Upon joining VLS, the new member's birthday is posted on the birthday page. The committee head also maintains a Yahoo group in order to communicate with the members of the birthday committee and if new members indicate they wish to join the birthday committee, the committee head invites them to join the Yahoo group. The committee head will then weekly or as needed remind the members of upcoming birthdays with email address and snail mail addresses. The committee head will send e-greetings and cards to members on their birthday and the members of the committee will do the same. The committee head and members will also acknowledge the member's birthday on the message board.

Guardian Angels

This is our "Cheer & Support" Committee. All you would do is keep a watchful eye as to who needs a special prayer, a health blessing, a warm shoulder, cheerful smile, a kind thought and word given to her. Also if you wish you may send e-cards (or if any prefer they could send snail mail cards).
This committee is the spirit of giving in your heart. Care cards are provided on the Angels committee page for you to send to those ladies in need.

Graphics

The esteemed ladies of the Graphics Committee are always willing to lend their talented hand to Victorian Ladies Society members. If you're in need of their help, please do not hesitate to call upon them. Graphics Committee members will all be assigned a graphics department to work in. For instance, we have the welcoming committee graphics, birthday committee graphics so on and so forth. If all positions are full then you will be called on for special projects. We are always coming up with something fun to do. Special projects might be redesigning VLS webpages, redesigning calling cards or care cards for the Guardian Angels, birthday specialties, surprise anniversaries and the such. We do our part to keep the graphics looking fresh and Victorian. Each graphics department will keep up with the committee plaques they are to make for the arrival of new members. While we wait for the new members we will try to keep busy with projects big or small and make use of our e-group to share links, tutorials and special graphics.

Activities

One of our most active committees. The Activities Committee is in charge of keeping activities going each month within the group. This may include posting on the board, swaps and coming up with new and fresh ideas to get everyone involved in the group.
